Onsite tutoring remains subject to health and safety protocols and is available weekdays from Noon to 7 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. Sessions are one hour, twice per week.
Online tutoring using Zoom may be arranged. Sessions are normally one hour, however 45-minute online sessions are available to students having difficulty working for a full hour in an online environment.
We specialize in the treatment of reading, spelling, writing, math and comprehension difficulties. Our services are specifically intended for children who struggle with language, literacy and math and need an intervention program that is proven effective and has quantifiable results.
Our tutors provide intensive one-on-one remediation that is multisensory in nature and based upon the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Students learn using visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile senses simultaneously.

Lessons and material presented are produced by the Great Word House™ Reading Program, and follow a logical sequence starting with the easiest and most basic elements and progress methodically to more difficult material.
Each step systematically reviews concepts already taught in the previous lessons to reinforce both retention and retrieval abilities. New skills are introduced only when the student is ready and they have shown mastery of the previously taught concepts.
Every student is unique, and as such we proceed at a pace that is specific to the needs of the individual.
We use a battery of language skills assessments to measure abilities in phonological processing, reading, spelling, writing, auditory processing, vocabulary and, when indicated, math.
Our evaluations provide a clear and objective blueprint of a student's abilities and needs.
We provide intensive one-on-one remediation in:
Reading Fluency and Spelling using the Orton-Gillingham Approach (Grades 1 to 8)
Mathematics using a multisensory approach (Grades 1 to 6)
Writing Mastery (Grades 3 to 8)
Integrated Middle School (Grades 7/8)
Students attend two or more days per week for one hour per session.
